Ashes of Autumn Published by Christies Contemporary Art 1982
The title ‘Ashes of Autumn’ is a quotation from a poem by Catullus reflecting on post-coital ennui. The print is from a series of limited editions commissioned by Christies Contemporary Art that used the ‘Four Seasons’ as their point of departure. All four are signed limited editions comprising 100 serigraphs printed on 310 Velin Arches paper using an average of 16 colours and a glaze. All the stencils were hand painted by the artist. The prints were proofed and printed at Coriander Studio London. |
